IMFF 2020 : About Youth Film Submissions
Fresh ideas and content are the backbone of the arts & film industry. At Indie Meme, we've always encouraged and featured youth participation - whether that be as volunteers or filmmakers.
A few years ago, we decided to formalize this by putting into place our Youth Film Night - to showcase work by South Asians on the cusp of "adulthood". In the past few years, we've been blown away by the technique, the heartbreaking / heartwarming stories and depth of subject matter portrayed by the filmmakers.
We recognize that there is a growing South Asian population of young adults (and kids!) who have a unique perspective and understanding - whether being born to immigrant parents, or navigating our changing world.
We want to do our part in showcasing this talent and are eager to provide an opportunity to the youth in our communities. So share what you have with us - whether acting, directing, animating or film-making, we'd love to hear from you.
