Join us in celebrating a decade of the Indie Meme Film Festival with a special exhibit curated by Miriam Chandy Menacherry and Alka Bhanot.
Lights! Camera, Women at Work shines a spotlight on the women behind the lens—filmmakers whose creative labor often goes unrecognized. The exhibit features six remarkable films screened at Indie Meme Film Festival over the past 10 years, honoring the powerful stories brought to life by women in Indie Indian cinema.
This installation is part of Miriam’s Fulbright outreach during her time at UT Austin, focusing on the contributions of women in film. It’s a meaningful opportunity to connect with cinema from the South Asian diaspora while celebrating the women shaping its future.
