USA | 2025 | English

76 mins | Rachel Immaraj

For a long time, mainstream media has portrayed obsessive - compulsive disorder (OCD) as a quirky and funny personality trait associated with hand-washing or flipping light switches. In reality, OCD can look very different. There is a whole world of less visible, yet common forms of OCD that many sufferers are afraid to speak about. AN UNQUIET MIND follows the stories of Natasha and Vinay, two individuals who struggle with Harm OCD, Post-Partum OCD, and Pedophilia OCD. The misunderstandings around these “taboo” types of OCD have created a culture of shame. Through this film, we aim to build a movement of greater understanding and support for those living with this illness.

India | 2026 | English, Hindi, Bengali

93 mins | Vaishali Sinha

GIVE IT A SHOT is a funny, moving and ultimately urgent film. This film is a timely, intimate and character driven story of the quest to successfully launch the next reversible birth control for men. According to the Guttmacher Institute, there are currently only three methods for men — condoms, vasectomy, and the “pull out” method — compared with at least 15 options for women. This advancement could revolutionize family planning and profoundly impact gender equity. GIVE IT A SHOT provides a window into this high-stakes scientific and social experiment, from the roster of scientists and developers to the implications on society at large. The film also considers why a change has been so long in coming when innovation in male contraception has the potential to reframe men’s responsibility around family planning.

20 mins | Mallika Juneja

On the day of their father’s funeral ceremony, 13-year-old Raya and her younger sister Mia find themselves engulfed in the absurd and chaotic atmosphere of a grieving Punjabi household. Relatives assign duties, rituals unfold, and Raya feels a widening disconnect between the culturally appropriate way of grieving and her own instinctive way of grappling with the loss. This internal dissonance, coupled with Raya’s desire to shield Mia from the heaviness around them, drives her to hatch a plan to slip away from the stifling ceremony and escape to the beach. The sisters’ mission gets derailed when their mother catches them and forbids them from leaving — she chides Raya for not supporting her, and insists that they grieve in the "correct” way. Raya pushes back, questioning the contradictions in her mother’s argument, which leans heavily on duty and tradition. This difference in philosophies sets off a heart-wrenching conflict between mother and daughter, each struggling to cope with the same pain. As Raya and Mia fight against all odds to escape, they are forced to navigate judgment from their own family members, who deem their behavior unfit for the ceremony. Not only must Raya now fight their expectations of what a daughter in mourning must look like, but also reckon with a startlingly heavy question — is there really a right way to grieve?
