Nominations for Best Debut Film and Best Screenplay
Three high school friends—Jai, Vikram, and Amrita—come together after 10 years for their school reunion and are faced with an uncomfortable truth. Vikram, who loved Amrita in high school, resents that she left him near the end of high school to date his best friend Jai. But he never understood why their relationship abruptly ended after school. Ten
years later, the three friends meet at Vikram’s place, where Vikram engages them in a conversation to find out what happened between them in high school. But Jai's version of the incident is completely different from what Amrita reveals in the end. As the difficult conversations unfold and layers of denial are peeled back, we discover the thin lines between misogyny, sexual consent, and persuasion.
