About the Artist
Sarmad Sultan Khoosat is a Pakistani director, actor, producer, and screenwriter, best known for his feature film, MANTO, which received tremendous critical acclaim locally & internationally.
With a career spanning 20+ years, Sarmad has directed some of Pakistan’s most celebrated TV series, such as Humsafar and Shehr-e-Zaat.
Films Khoosat has directed and produced have been awarded at renowned festivals from Cannes to Jaipur, Toronto, Busan, and the UK Asian Film Festival.
In 2016, he was awarded the prestigious President of Pakistan’s Pride of Performance Award for his outstanding contribution to Pakistan’s Film & TV industry.
