Preserving the culture and history of Indie Meme
The Indie Meme Archival Project is a collaboration between Indie Meme and the Austin History Center, all made possible by the City of Austin's Heritage Grant. Our purpose is to tell the story of Indie Meme through a guided archival process, which involves compiling physical and digital materials, oral history interviews, and more.
These materials will be stored in a permanent public collection at the Austin History Center. They will also be used to promote tourism and engagement with Indie Meme, Austin History Center, and the City of Austin.
We strive to document the excellent work of our community members for the past ten years, and continue this work into future editions of Indie Meme Film Festival and beyond.
