But when she arrives to investigate, the brewing political unrest and violent protests throw her off course, and she is forced to seek help from Mamata, a local Madhesi policewoman. By putting aside systemic racial and homophobic discrimination and pushing through everyday misogyny, the women solve the case—but at what personal cost? Inspired by real events which took place in Southern Nepal during the 2015 race protests. < Our Team Sreedhara Sen Bhasin Executive Board Secretary Sree (Sreedhara) Sen Bhasin is an education technology professional and a creative writer. She is the Founder-Director of the Indian division of Tk20 Inc., now a part of Watermark Insights., and served as the Division Head and VP of International Operations. Leading collaborative business initiatives internationally and mentoring young men and women, many of whom were first-generation college graduates, were a life-altering experience for her. She worked for many years as a syndicated columnist for The Tribune, India. Her adventures overseas are chronicled in her blog: sreeatlarge.com. Sree is also a museum educator at the Elisabet Ney Museum and a member of the Friends of the Ney. < Our Team Staff Justin Stevens Volunteer Coordinator Justin Stevens serves as the organization's Volunteer Coordinator. While this is his first year with Indie Meme, he has worked with three Austin Film Festivals over the past four years including Austin Asian American Film Festival and the Austin Jewish Film Festival and serves on the board for aGLIFF. He is looking forward to helping make the 10th IMFF one of the very best! Justin moved to the Austin area in 1999 and in his time has worked for many of the radio stations across the city before pivoting to account management. With a proven track record in client satisfaction and retention, Justin would eventually land in the job industry where he has helped clients with their talent acquisition needs for nearly 7 years and now helps to craft hiring strategies for XL Enterprise clients at Indeed.
