Famed Indian singer, musician & composer ARIJIT SINGH's directorial debut - SIMPLE NOTES - is a story about life itself and its cycles of highs and lows. It chronicles a simple family from a village in West Bengal, India in the aftermath of mass migration following the birth of Bangladesh.
Due to tragic circumstances, a young boy 'Lalu' is sent in the care of a venerated maestro of Indian classical music who discovers Lalu as a prodigy. Lalu learns to associate his exploration of nature with the nature of music itself and realizes that the simple notes are the toughest to touch but most beautiful to the ear!

3:45 pm - Doors open.
4:00 pm - Enjoy live veena music by Nandhini Ayyalu, and traditional Indian singing by Varsha Appaji.
4:30 to 5:45pm – Exclusive showing of the film Simple Notes, a "Beautiful and moving story of a boy who overcomes tragedy through music." Directed by famed singer, musician and composer Arijit Singh. Bengali with English subtitles.
6:10 pm - In depth Q&A with expert panel.
Proceeds to support the Plano Symphony Orchestra's Scholarship Program, funded by the Alice Hobbs Education & Outreach Fund.
