Rehana, an assistant professor at a medical college, struggles to keep the harmony between work and family, as she has to play all the complex roles of a teacher, doctor, sister, daughter, and mother.
One evening, she witnesses a student storming out of a professor’s office, crying. Deeply impacted, Rehana becomes dedicated to pursuing consequences for the perpetrator. She enters a maelstrom of controversy as she confronts aspects of her university, society, and herself that previously lay dormant.

About the Artist
Born 1985 in Chittagong, Bangladesh, Abdullah Mohammad Saad graduated with a degree in education and research from the University of Dhaka. Live from Dhaka, his first feature film, was selected at Rotterdam and won the Silver Screen Award for Best Director at the Singapore International Film Festival.
His second film, Rehana, was the first film from Bangladesh to be featured in Un Certain Regard at Cannes, won the 'Jury Grand Prize' and 'Best Performance by an Actress' Awards at the Asia Pacific Film Awards, and became Bangladesh's Official 2021 Oscar Submission.
